Cercis canadensis var. texensis

Texas Redbud

You really cant go wrong with this small and beautiful Texas native tree. Drought tolerant, this tree provides three landscape interests: an explosion of very showy flowers at early spring, foliage turns deep gold/red during the fall, purple seedpods appear during the winter! We love designing this tree as a focal point in front flowerbeds. It instantly adds pizzazz to any landscape. Understory installation also look quite attractive. Seeing the first Redbud flowers mean one thing and one thing only: warmer days are upon us! Relatively low maintenance: prune occasional suckers and for shape if desired.
